A newborn requires a lot of warmth and care. The baby is born helpless and without physical protection, vulnerable to the fluctuating temperatures of the surroundings. Just as the seed in nature needs its enveloping sheath for life to unfold, so too does the human infant need protection and nurturing in the form of food, warmth, security and gentleness.
That is why it is important to outfit the baby in clothing made of pure natural fibres that allow the tender newborn skin to breathe. Our baby garments, imported from Finland and Germany, are made of 100% natural Merino wool, organic cotton, pure silk, bamboo silk (50%/50%) and silk/wool blend (30%/70%), manufactured without chemical additives, bleaches or coloring agents. Only the softest, untreated fibres are used for our baby wear to promote the gentlest baby care possible.
